The Geneva International Airport formerly known Geneva Cointrin airport is located on the shores of Lake Geneva in the suburb of Meyrin. This is the main winter season airport for the Franco-Swiss Alps.
Geneva airport is the second largest Swiss airport after Zurich, and it is extensively used by tourists traveling to the prestigious resorts of Gstaad, Crans Montana & Verbier, as well as Haute-Savoie resorts (Chamonix, La Clusaz, Megève, Les Gets …) and Savoie (Courchevel, Val Thorens, Val d’Isere …)
